Introducing the Windward Oahu Real Estate Update web log (blog).

I am changing the format of my monthly e-mail update to a blog. Blog is short for web log. With this new format comes some interesting features that hopefully will make the information I send out to you even more interesting and useful. I also hope this blog provides greater access for you and improved communication between us!

What are some features of blogs?

• Blogs can be interactive in that readers can comment on each post. Just click on Comments at the bottom of each post. Post is a term used by bloggers to describe what they write. You are reading my first post.
• Comments on the blog can be read by other readers and hopefully this generates conversation around topics of interest and we can learn from each other.
• The format allows me to include links to reports, statistical graphics, other blogs or traditional web sites, photos--anything of interest. Check out some of the links I have already set-up on the sides of this page. You can get Oahu Real Estate Statistics, published by the Honolulu Board of Realtors or Economic Trends published by Bank of Hawaii (see right).
• Readers of blogs can subscribe (please do this) by entering their e-mail address in the space on the left side of the blog, Subscribe for Updates. This allows you to receive automatic updates anytime something new is posted to the blog.
• Finally, I think this format adds value to you, my friends, clients and clients-to-be!

I'll be posting my traditional monthly update soon, the old fashioned way. In fact, you may very well have gotten here by getting that update directing you here. You can easily get to the blog at any time by entering the URL of www.windwardupdate.com or just enter your e-mail address in the subscription box to subscribe. Subscriptions are free and it takes two seconds!

Take a few minutes and look around. I've put up some links already and will be adding more.

Very nice new website (blog). Adds greatly to your communication format.
You indicated that I could get an estimate of the value of our home if we so desired (not that I'm interested in selling it). I would just like to have an idea of it's value at this time, in this crazy market, so that I can really appreciate what I'm living in.
